The torchbearer of #MeToo movement, Tanushree Dutta is all set to bring sexual harassment stories to the screen with her upcoming short film- Inspiration. The short film will showcase the stories of newcomers, who face sexual harassment in the industry. Dutta has decided to release the film to mark International Women’s Day on March 8, 2019.

Tanushree who’s currently in New Jersey, had started the MeToo wave in India, when she filed a case against Nana Patekar for sexually harassing her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008. After Nana Patekar, several Bollywood celebs like Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, Chetan Bhagat, Rajkumar Hirani, Alok Nath, Anu Malik and Kailash Kher, among others, were accused of sexual misconduct and the effect was such that Nana Patekar and Sajid Khan had to step down from their film, Housefull 4.  Watch the teaser of Tanushree's short film below:

Talking about the idea of making the short film, Tanushree told Mid-day, “It deals with the issue of wilful exploitation of young newcomers in showbiz or any other field where they don't have mentors or guidance." She further told leading tabloid, “It is a new format where reality meets fiction,"

While the short film Inspiration is directed by Atul Bhalla, Tanushree will be seen playing the role of a guardian. She told Mid-day, “I play a guardian angel who inspires the girls to make the right decision." "I wrote the dialogues, inspired by my own insight and understanding on the matter. I was excited to face the camera after nine years because this time, I was not only entertaining but also imparting wisdom to the misled and unfortunate.”
